Welcome to ND
Charts! The goal of ND Charts is to display complex and detail-oriented information on easy-to-read charts so that the public can digest large amounts of information without leaving the friendly confines of their home.
Information is the key to understanding public policy, even in a small state like North Dakota. Legislators are tasked with making decisions that affect everyone in big and small ways, so it’s important that citizens understand the ideas and concepts being developed in Bismarck. While legislators are bombarded with mounds of information about the issues they’re facing, the average citizen is largely left in the dark. The North Dakota Policy Council has stepped up and has provided what government has not. Sure, all of the information on ND Charts is public and readily available on state government websites; however, there are so many websites that bury information deep within them, and that makes it hard to find.
We’ve compiled relevant data and put it into charts so that he public can get a general sense of the issues very quickly and easily with a few clicks of a mouse. Across the menu bar in the middle of your screen you’ll see categories such as “Taxes” and “Education.” Follow those links to graphs that display information about each of those public policy areas.
You might also consider visiting other websites we have developed, including Sunshine on Schools, Sunshine on Cities, and the North Dakota Policy Council’s home website.
